The YWCA as announced that Barbara Dorn will become the organization’s new executive director beginning Jan. 2
Dorn will come to the YWCA after serving as the Southwest Division Director for the Minnesota Chapter of the March of Dimes.
The YWCA was previously led by Anne Ganey, who left the position in August to take a position at South Central College. During Ganey’s eight years with the YWCA, she developed the Girls on the Run program, the Elizabeth Kearney Women’s Leadership Development Program and Walking in Two Worlds.
Dorn was a founding partner of Pathways Marketing, a consulting firm specializing in marketing strategy, branding, and qualitative research projects, and has served as adjunct faculty at Minnesota State University. She attended Gustavus Adolphus College, graduating with a degree in political science and communications.
