MANKATO — A Mankato man was arrested for illegally entering a home he said he believed was his.
Mankato police were called to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 3:45 a.m. Sunday after the homeowner heard breaking glass near the front door.
Police found Matthew McKenny, 20, in the living room. McKenny, who police said was under the influence of alcohol, allegedly damaged the front door to enter the home because he thought it was his residence. McKenny was arrested and taken to the county jail.
Requested charges include first-degree burglary, criminal damage to property, trespassing, disorderly conduct and obstruction of the legal process.
