MANKATO — Drunken-driving charges were requested for a 34-year-old Mankato man who is also accused of making terroristic threats after getting into a car accident with a relative Saturday.

Nathan Gregory Beltz was arrested after police officers saw him pulling into his garage in the 100 block of Clover Lane, a Mankato Department of Public Safety report said. The driver of the other car, described only as a 58-year-old female relative, called 911 at about 4:10 p.m. to report Beltz had left the scene of a crash the intersection of Pohl Road and Balcerzak Drive.

Beltz had not hit the other car intentionally but threatened the other driver after crash, police said. It was a coincidence the two people involved in the crash were related, the report said.
