Deer on Schell's Brewery grounds killed

NEW ULM — New Ulm police are investigating an animal cruelty report after a dead deer was found on the grounds of Schell’s Brewery Friday morning.

The whitetail buck, one of three deer kept in a fenced area on brewery grounds, had been killed within 36 hours from the time its body was found at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Schell’s Brewery President Ted Marti is offering a reward of an undisclosed amount for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the animal’s death.
