WASECA — A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with explosive devices discovered in melting snow on the Hartley School playground during the last week in March.
The arrest was made after Waseca Police Department and members of a Bloomington bomb squad executed search warrants at a residence and at a storage facility in Waseca.
Felony criminal charges against the youth are expected Thursday. He was in custody Wednesday afternoon, pending an initial court appearance.
More information is to be released at a police department and Waseca Public Schools joint news conference Thursday.
