MANKATO — Vetter Stone Amphitheater in Mankato’s Riverfront Park recently was named a top outdoor stages for concert goers in or near the Twin Cities.
The stage at Mankato's Riverfront Park was ranked fourth in a Top 10 listing by Star Tribune columnist Chris Riemenschneider in Sunday's Variety section.
The review complimented the amphitheater's tiered limestone slab seating, grass lawn and the location of its beer and food tents. Also cited was the stage's theater-quality, woodsy setting and proximity to Mankato’s historic downtown.
The amphitheater's slate of concerts is: Tonight — Buckcherry; July 24 — Merle Haggard; Aug. 1-4 — RibFest: Everclear, Loverboy; Aug 15 — Ratt; Sept. 14 — Buddy Guy.
