---- — Minnesota property owners’ first half of real estate taxes should be paid by Wednesday to avoid penalties.
Blue Earth County property owners may make payments at the taxpayer services office in the Historic Courthouse, 204 S. Fifth St. Online payments may be made at: www.blueearthcountymn.gov. Mailed payments should be sent to: Blue Earth County Taxpayers Services, P.O. Box 3567, Mankato, MN 56002-3567.
Those making payments online should note that there is a fee of $1.49 for e-checks and a 2.49 percent transaction fee applied to credit card transactions.
Taxpayers can use any of the following drop sites to make payments: Cub Foods, 1800 Madison Avenue; Hy-Vee, 410 Riverfront Drive; outside of the Historic Courthouse (on the Fourth Street side of the building).
Payments also may be made at the following banks: Community Bank in Vernon Center, MinnStar Bank in Lake Crystal, Peoples State Bank in Madison Lake, St. Clair State Bank in St. Clair and U.S. Bank in Amboy.
If taxes are paid at any of the banks, payments must be made during operating hours for that specific bank. Tax statements should be brought into locations to confirm correct tax amounts and better assist property owners. For more information visit www.blueearthcountymn.gov; or call 304-4251.
Nicollet County residents may make payments in person at the Nicollet County Government Center between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays; via the county’s website: www.co.nicollet.mn.us; and by mail at Nicollet County Auditor Office, 501 S.
