Authorities have arrested three suspects in connection with a multi-county series of machinery thefts.
Sheriff’s departments in Watonwan, Martin and Jackson counties as well as in Emmet County, Iowa, recovered a number of stolen items in the investigation, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
The stolen items are valued at about $250,000 and include a John Deere tractor, an Agway bale carrier with 11 bales, a backhoe, a New Holland square baler and a hayrack, among numerous other pieces of equipment.
Martin County had Bryan Poppe, 20, of rural Trimont in custody as well as a juvenile. Jackson County had one other suspect in custody.
