Update: 169 south open after mudslide

MANKATO — The southbound lane of Highway 169 reopened to traffic at about 7:45 p.m. after an hour-long closure due to a small mudslide, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The mudslide near St. Peter caused the southbound lane to be closed from St. Peter to Mankato from about 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., according to Rebecca Arndt, spokesperson for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Traffic was rerouted to Highway 22.
