A new strip mall planned along Victory Drive, just south of the Madison Avenue McDonalds, will bring a Marco's Pizza parlor, a Family Video and space for another business.
And a new Hardee's is to be built next to McDonalds on Madison Avenue.
The 7,200-square-foot strip mall will bring a joint venture between Chicago-based Family Video, which operates more than 700 video and game rental stores nationwide, and Toledo-based Marco's Pizza.
Last year the two companies teamed up and began locating their businesses next to each other. They are planning to open 251 locations nationwide in the next three years.
Although video chains, including Blockbuster, have collapsed under financial pressure and competition from NetFlix home movie service, Family Video is reported to be in a strong financial position, with virtually no debt, and with consistently rising same-store sales.
Family Video reported same-store sales have increased for 29 of its 30 years in business with 2004 being the only exception.
Family Video is a $1 billion company with interests in strip malls, fitness centers, fiber optics and online movie sales.
Marco's Pizza has about 300 locations in 21 states.
