Crab Deck closed

Patrons want gift card refunds

The Crab Deck in North Mankato has closed its doors, as some customers are seeking refunds on their gift cards.

The store, along Highway 169 next to Subway, opened in 2009, selling a variety of frozen seafood.

The store’s Facebook page had a posting Jan. 2 saying the business was closed “until further notice.” A later post said “we shouldn’t be closed very much longer.”

Several customers posted concerns about gift cards they or family members had bought, including one person who said they just bought a $150 card. The Facebook page said those who purchased cards should contact owner Gary Wolters, who also owns Griffen Transport.

Calls to the phone number went to a voice mailbox that was full.
