Klobuchar said Minnesota’s strengths include a well trained workforce, a high quality of life, good Internet services and good infrastructure.
Rodney Gramse is director of operations for Faribault-based MRG Tool and Die Corp., which makes molds for products like car dashboards. He said he liked the emphasis on workforce training.
He said manufacturing has been overlooked as a good career choice, and the result of this lack of visibility is a gap between the skills that the workforce has and the skills employers want.
Klobuchar cited a recent survey of employers, 60 percent of whom said they are having trouble finding employers with the right skills.
Gramse also appreciated the spirit of collaboration evident between the government agencies.
