EAGLE LAKE — Minnesota State University head football coach Todd Hoffner is scheduled to be in court Wednesday for charges of creating and possessing child pornography for recordings he made of his own children. Friends and neighbors gathered outside the Hoffners' Eagle Lake home Tuesday night to show support for the family during a candlelight vigil.
Hoffner's attorney has asked a judge to dismiss the charges. In a statement released Tuesday, the Hoffners thanked friends, family and others for their support. “The family is overwhelmed by these compassionate and thoughtful expressions,” the statement said. “This outreach by the greater Mankato and Eagle Lake communities has been a source of strength and encouragement in these trying times both personally and professionally."
