Published July 25, 2007 10:05 am - UPDATE: Heat cancels library animal events today The Free Press MANKATO — Excessive heat in the Twin Cities has caused the Minnesota Zoo to cancel three zoo mobile trips today, including two in Mankato.
The animals were to visit the Blue Earth County Library today at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., but a heat index in the metro of more than 95 degrees prompted the cancellation. It's not clear which animals were to visit.
