Violet "Vi" (Seward) Looney

AMBOY — Violet "Vi" (Seward) Looney, age 91, of Naples, Florida and formerly of Lake Washington passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 at her home. A private family service will be held at a later date.

  Vi was born September 8, 1922 to Lewis and Carrie Seward in Bode, Iowa. On March 3,1945 Vi was united in marriage to Harvey "Bert" Looney in Humbolt, Iowa.

  During her lifetime Vi was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf, bowling, painting, and loved to read. Vi & Bert enjoyed hosting numerous gatherings at their Lake Washington home and on their houseboat the Salinda.

 Vi is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Bert and daughters: Rhonda (Jim) Price, Fripp Island SC, Lynn (Mike) Hodapp, Madison Lake, Mn, and Roberta Looney, Austin TX, 7 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.

   Vi was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
