Elenora Loeffler


— Elenora Loeffler, 99, died Friday, December 27, 2013 at Pathstone Living in Mankato.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. on Friday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue at the church 1 hour prior to the service.  Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.

  Elenora was born July 18, 1914 in Eagle Lake, MN the eldest daughter of Swan and Mary (Jensen) Swanson.  She graduated from Mankato High School and received her teaching degree from Mankato State Teachers College.  She taught students in four country schools.  Elenora was united in marriage to Harry P. Loeffler on July 7, 1940 in St. Clair and they continued their life together on the farm.  Elenora was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church.

  Elenora is survived by her son, Harold (Judy) Loeffler of Mankato; daughter, Lois (John) Rose of West Des Moines, IA; granddaughter, Lauri (Nick); grandsons, Brian (Shelly), Bradley (Stephanie), Edward (Kristyn); 10 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; daughter-in-law, Corine; sister Lula and her husband, Nick.
