Janice M. Matejcek

—   JANICE M. MATEJCEK, age 72 of Waseca died Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Colony Court Memory Care and Suites in Waseca.

  Born on October 15, 1940 in Waseca County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Merle and Clesta (Reese) Hoy.  She graduated from Dodge Center High School.  Janice married Bernard Matejcek on June 4, 1960 in Bixby, Minnesota.  She was employed at Brown Printing Co. in Waseca for 39 years.     She enjoyed scrapbooking, dancing, bowling, canning, and the Vikings and Twins.  She also enjoyed her grandchildrens activities and rocking the babies while volunteering at Grace Garden.   Janice was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca and the VFW Auxiliary.

  Janice is survived by her husband, Bernard; four children, Debra (Jeff) Juberien, Randy (Robin) Matejcek, Lisa (Roy) Kuchenbecker, and Sandy Matejcek all of Waseca; and six grandchildren, Jeremy Kuchenbecker, Mandi Kuchenbecker and fiance Jason Brown, Zack Matejcek, Sammy Matejcek, McKenzie Filzen, and Megan Filzen.  She is also survived by siblings, Shirley (Curt) Underdahl of Hollendale, Margie (Richard) Priebe of Waseca, Douglas Hoy of Owatonna and Danny Hoy of Garden Grove, California; sister-in-law, Judy Hoy of Faribault; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Merle Hoy Jr. and Darrel Hoy; son-in-law, Michael Filzen; and an infant granddaughter.

  Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Monday, January 7, 2013 from  4-8 PM and continue on Tuesday, one hour before services at the church.

  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.   Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
