Eldora N. (Molstad) Berge, age 89, of Mankato, passed away peacefully March 23, 2013, at Mount Olivet Careview Home in Minneapolis, MN.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato with Pastor John Petersen, officiating. A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Health East Hospice. Landkamer-Johnson-Boman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Eldora was born on January 21, 1924, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Clarence and Esther (Elkin) Molstad. Eldora was united in marriage to Joseph Berge on September 25, 1949. They shared 59 years of wonderful marriage. Eldora was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church for over 40 years and organized many of their craft fairs. She enjoyed time with family, fellowship with friends, entertaining, golfing, and crafts. Eldora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; who was devoted to her family. She will be remembered as a gracious, kind, and caring friend.
Eldora is survived by three children Steve (Becky) Berge of Lakeville, Jeff (Joan) Berge of Edina, and Jennifer Berg of Woodbury; grandchildren: Mitchell and Mikayla Berge, Annie and Claire Berge, Ally (Gerry) Walz and Megan Berg; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Berge, in 2008; parents; sisters, Jean (Thomas) Hall, and Eleanor (George) Knauff; granddaughter, Mary Jo Berg, and brothers-and sister-in-law.
