—   Rosemary Trimbo, of Henderson, passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine Thursday afternoon surrounded by her family and Hospice team. A wake for Rosemary will be held Sunday, Jan. 6th from 3-7pm at Kolden Funeral Home in Henderson and again on Monday morning until 10: 15 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Jan. 7th at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Henderson with burial in the church cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Hilltop School Nature Area or to donors choice.

Rosemary was born October 29th, 1939 to Matt and Rose Baynes in LeSueur, Minnesota as the youngest of 7 children. Her father had horses and Rosemary learned to ride at a young age. She loved her horses and was a member of the LeSueur Saddle club. After graduating from LeSueur High School in 1957 she went on to study nursing in Mankato at St. Joseph's where she completed her LPN training. Rosemary worked first in Minneapolis at St. Mary's hospital and then was able to take a position back in her hometown of LeSueur at the community hospital where she worked as an LPN for many years. As the result of injuries suffered in a car accident, Rosemary was unable to do the lifting of patients and so she returned to school as an adult where she completed her Para-Professional schooling at South Central Technical College and took a position with the LeSueur-Henderson School system. She held several positions within the school, including classroom duties, librarian, and bus/van driver. She was very popular with the children and she loved being part of their schooling and worked at the school until her retirement.  Rosemary met Les Trimbo while in high school. After she completed her nurses training, and Les completed his time in the Army, they were married at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur in 1960. They lived in Henderson where they raised their family. First came the 3 boys- Steven, Anthony, and Nicholas and then the 3 girls- Mary Rose, Jill, and Jennifer. Rosemary was a busy woman who worked hard at raising her family and her career. In addition to her nursing and education work she helped her husband run two separate businesses in Henderson. In their younger years, Les operated Trimbo & Sons -which was a trash hauling route in Henderson, and later she and Les bought the Schultz Bros, mercantile store which they operated together for a number of years.  She was very active in the community throughout her life, always willing to volunteer in her children's activities as Cub Scout leader, 4-H leader, T-ball coach, Girl Scout leader; at the school as a line judge for volleyball games and adult volunteer/chaperone for numerous activities; at St. Joseph's Church teaching CCD classes, as a Eucharistic Minister bringing Holy Communion to the homebound, and as a member of the Rosary Aid Society; and she acted in community theater, and even took First Place in the Powder Puff Demolition Derby at one of the town Sauerkraut Days celebration which earned her a trophy which she proudly displayed. She was also a past officer of the Minnesota Rural Letter Carriers Auxiliary. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Rose; her brothers, Harry, Lee and Tom; and her beloved son, Tony.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Leslie; her sons, Steven (Julie) Trimbo and Nicholas (Yoshi) Trimbo of Henderson; her daughters, Mary (Rick) Murphy of Mukwonago, WI, Jill (Aric) Holden of New Prague and Jennifer (Chris) Miller of LeSueur; grandchildren, Katie, Jared, Rory, Zachary, Samantha, Brittney, Taylor, McKenna, Alison, Anna and Amelia; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Ysabella, Jude, Aaron, Henriette, Milo, Tucker & McKenzee; brothers, Jack (Jean) Baynes of Springfield, MN and Bob (Betty) Baynes of Oxford, AL and sister, Betty Thomas of Belle Plaine.
