Harvey Otto Kollos, Madison Lake, 83, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Maple Grove Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Jay Dahlvang officiating. Visitation will be held 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday February 5, 2013, at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
Harvey was born June 11, 1929 in Mankato to Fred and Bertha (Glamm) Kollos. He attended St. Clair High School. Harvey was a member of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War Conflict. On July 2, 1966 he was united in marriage to Alice Ann Montgomery in Blackduck. He worked as a farmer, at Dotson Company, and for Myles Lorentz Trucking. Harvey was a member of the American Legion and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In his free time he enjoyed his camping, fishing gardening, his back yard fire place, Thursday morning coffee group and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by wife, Alice Kollos of Madison Lake; son, Lee (Kris) Kollos of Rogers; grandchildren Taylor and Austin Kollos of Rogers; brother, Marvin Kollos of Janesville; and many nieces and nephews.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Sidney and George Kollos.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Bethlehem Lutheran Building Fund or the Bethlehem Lutheran Choir.
