Alice Schwartz, age 92, long time resident of Manly, Iowa; current resident of Mankato, Minnesota, died peacefully at her home, January 10, 2014. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel. Rev. Vance Becker will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the services. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Alice was born March 8, 1921, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Ralph and Mary (Druig) Moore. She was a mother, homemaker, accomplished seamstress and bookkeeper.
Alice is survived by her brother, Laird (Eleanor) Moore of Dunnell, Minnesota; 2 daughters, Judy Schwartz of Mankato and Peggy (Ray) Landon of Laurel, Delaware; son, Bill (Wanda) Schwartz of North Mankato; grandchildren, Donavan (Melissa) Schwartz, Yvonne (Jay) Flynn, Leatha (Mark) Orr, Jason (Beverly) Schwartz, Neil Moore, Amanda Moore; great grandchildren, Maxwell Schwartz, Audrey Schwartz, Zackary Schwartz, Alex Schwartz, Megan Schwartz and Christopher Schwartz, Nicholas Pate; and great, great grandchild, Kandyce Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rex Moore; and son, Butch Moore.
