Arthur W. Stoldt

  Arthur W. Stoldt, age 81 of Waseca, formerly of rural Janesville, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato.

  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church in Alma City with Rev. Keith Bilitz, officiating.  Interment with military honors will be in the Alma City Cemetery.

  Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service, at church.  Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville is handling arrangements.

  Arthur was born September 3, 1931 in McPherson Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota to William and Agnes (Lutz) Stoldt.  He was  baptized, and confirmed at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church in Alma City, and attended Pemberton Schools.  Art served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from May of 1953 until his honorable discharge in March of 1955.  Art lived and farmed his entire life in McPherson Township, Blue Earth County.  Over the years he had also been employed with various area companies including, Judd Brown Construction of Madison Lake, Crystal Valley Cooperative in Waldorf, Midland Cooperative of Waseca, and seasonally for Gary Roemhildt.  He moved to Waseca in October of 2012.  Art was a life-member of the Waseca VFW Sweet-Summers Post #1642.

  He is survived by his sister, Betty Blasing and her great friend Ray Barta, of Janesville; nephew, Albert Rosin of Blue Earth; close friend, Marjorie Findley of Waseca.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Rosin.
