Marlene Kay Lange

—   Marlene Kay Lange passed away at Laurels Peak in Mankato on Thursday March 14th 2013 from cancer. Marlene spent her early years in Pipestone Minnesota and then moved to Mankato to attend college, where she achieved a master's degree in experiential education from MSU. Besides Marlene's deep and spiritual connection to nature, she also loved reading, gardening, writing, artwork, and discussing ideas with others. As a very loving and accepting woman, Marlene found her calling helping others at Lifework Planning center. She was loved by her family, many friends, and acquaintances.

  She was preceded in death by her mother Lois Lange, father Dwayne Lange, and sister Sandy

Westfield of Pipestone Minnesota, and by her son William J Lewinski of Mankato.

  She is survived by her daughters, Marta Lewinski Edina Minnesota, Tasha Gavan and her husband Blair Gavan and grandson Barett of Rochester Hills Michigan, former spouse Dr. Bill Lewinski of Mankato Minnesota, and brothers Denny Lange of Pipestone, and Randy Lange. A memorial service will be held at Hope Interfaith Center in Mankato on Tuesday March 19 6-8pm.

  A scholarship fun for donations is set up there in her name in lieu of flowers.
