Eugene H. Sunderman

—   Eugene H. Sunderman, age 83 of Le Sueur died on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Mayo Health System Hospital in Mankato. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur. Interment, with military rites provided by the Le Sueur Honor Guard, will be in the Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.

  Eugene was born on March 29, 1930 in Sharon Township, Le Sueur County to Howard and Margaret (Moser) Sunderman. He graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1949. He entered the U. S. Army during the Korean War. After his discharge he farmed in the Le Sueur area all of his working life. Eugene married Marie Mueller on June 17, 1952 at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur. He was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church and served as usher for many years. He was a director for the Le Sueur Cooperative for many years and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards with friends, watching sports and time spent with family, especially grandchildren.

  He is survived by wife, Marie; son, Mike (Linda) Sunderman of Le Sueur; daughters, Mary (John) Andresen of Le Sueur and Shelly (sp. friend, Dave Dubbeldee) Nolt of Slayton, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren, Angie (Brandon) Mueller, Jenny (Zach) Trimbo, Jackie (Tom) Wagner, Jason Sunderman, Sarah (Adam) Mathwig, Chad (Danielle) Andresen, Shawn (sp. friend, Leah) Andresen, Travis, Jacob & Cody Nolt; 10 great-grandchildren, Draydon Mueller, Tucker & McKenzee Trimbo, Carter & Liam Wagner, Lydia & Brianna Thibodeau, Henry Mathwig, McKenna & Alliana Andresen; sister, LaVeryne Garvin, 2 brothers-in-law, Marvin and Norbert Mueller; and 2 sisters-in-law, Ethel (Ben) Callanan and Rosie (sp. friend, Larry Faber) Hayden.  

  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Bert Garvin; niece, Linda Garvin; sisters-in-law, Loretta Hauer, Laurel Mueller, Bernice Zamzow & Adela Dammann; brothers-in-law, Ewald "Wally" Hauer & William "Bill" Hauer; step brothers-in-law, Eugene "Pete" Brandt & Marvin Brandt; step sisters-in-law, Helen (Bob) Grassinger and Maureen Brandt.
