Garet "Gary" Lamoreux




  On May 15, 1937, Garet "Gary" Lamoreux was born in Mankato to Bill and Jane Lamoreux of Lake Crystal.  On March 6, 2013, at his home in Vernon Center, he went home to be with the Lord.  He was 75 years old.  Gary graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1955 and Mankato Technical Institute in 1989.  He worked for Stokely Van Camp in Winnebago for 24 years and was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for over 10 years.  Gary was a quiet man.  He was very giving and caring.  He had a great sense of humor and an inquisitive nature.  He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend.

 Gary is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Lamoreux and Lillian Lamoreux of Vernon Center; one brother, Guy (Carol) Lamoreux of Lake Crystal; one sister, Kay (Anthony) Strong of Duluth; and so many others who were dear to his heart.

  He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.

  The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Elevate Church in Mankato.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at the Lake Crystal Cemetery.  Mankato Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
