Sophie A. Honetschlager, age 84, of Savage, formerly of Mankato, passed away Friday, April 5.
Sophie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She was raised on a farm near Good Thunder, MN. She attended Beauty School after high school in Mankato and worked at a home beauty shop in Le Sueur, MN. In her early years, Sophie & her husband Norman raised their six children in Mankato, MN. Later, the family moved to a hobby farm in Isanti. Once retired, Sophie & Norm returned to Mankato. After Norman passed, she moved to Savage, MN to be closer to her six children and their families. Sophie's "nomadic spirit" showed when her family helped her move five times in ten years - as she was always searching for her perfect home. We are peaceful knowing Sophie has finally found her perfect home.
