Linda Olson, age 65, of Mapleton, died on Monday, September 16, 2013 at her home.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Vicki Hultine officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home and will continue one half hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Linda was born on May 31, 1948 in Mankato to Harry and Helen (Mortensen) Truebenbach. She was raised on the farm between Mapleton and Good Thunder. She was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Decoria Township. Linda graduated from Mapleton High School in 1966. She married Dallas Olson on July 22, 1967. She worked various jobs in Mapleton and also had Lindas Country Greenhouse for a number of years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, fishing, racing, dancing, playing cards, riding motorcycle, antiquing and collecting swell stuff. Her family was most important in her life and her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Linda is survived by her husband, Dallas of Mapleton; children, Jeremy (Laura) Olson of Mapleton, Amy Wahl of Nicollet, and Jesse (Heidi) Olson of Mayer; grandchildren, Ashley and Jillian Wahl, Tyler and Kylie Olson, and Mackenzie, Kendyl, and Degan Olson; brothers, Charles Truebenbach of Park Rapids and John (Sandy) Truebenbach of Mapleton; sister, Janice (Gene) Erickson of Good Thunder; brother-in-law, Danny (Deborah) Olson of Lake City; sisters-in-law, Kristine Olson of Alma, WI and Terry (Alan) Breuer of Lake City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Helen Truebenbach; an infant sister; sisters-in-law, Louise Truebenbach and Connie Olson; and brother-in-law, Andy Olson.
