Ursula Velma Behnke

—     Ursula Velma Behnke, age 84, of Minnesota Lake, MN, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Father Thomas Niehaus will officiate and interment will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Minnesota Lake.   Please see to leave online condolences.     Ursula Velma Behnke was born October 27, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Hattie (Kullot) Stadulski in Aylesbury, Saskatchewan, Canada. She attended school in Mapleton.  On October 21, 1947, Ursula was united in marriage to Duane Behnke in Mapleton, MN.  Ursula had worked at the Winnebago canning factory, and after her marriage, she worked on the farm with her husband Duane.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, along with the Minnesota Lake American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, canning, and had an extensive stamp collection.  

    Ursula is survived by 3 sons:  Jerome (Sue) Behnke of Winnebago, Neil (Lori) Behnke of Minnesota Lake, Michael (Joanne) Behnke of Solon, OH; 6 grandchildren:  Mandy (Jay) Zabel, Alison Behnke (Scott), Jeremy Behnke (Roz), Jessica (David) Janssen, Mariel Behnke, Grant Behnke; 3 great grandchildren:  Jared, Annie, and Blake Zabel; a sister:  Jean Evan of Minnesota Lake, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Duane; brother Raymond Stadulski and sister Margaret Stadulski.
