    Ann Fischer (Vanderhoof), 82, longtime resident of Skyline, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Pathstone Living in Mankato.  Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato with Father Tim Biren officiating.  Visitation will be held 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.  Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Korean War Veterans Association.

    Ann was born February 22, 1931 to Walter and Cora Canney in Denver CO.  She attended grade school in Dayton, MN and graduated high school in Madison,  SD in 1949.  After high school Ann went on to attend the College of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, MN.  She served in the United States Navy from 1950 - 1951 during the Korean War.  Ann was united in marriage to Don Vanderhoof in 1951 and then later to Bob Fischer in 1968.  She was active in the Postal Clerk Union at the local and state levels.  Ann was a past Skyline City Council Member, a charter member of Korean War Veterans Association Local in Mankato, and a member of the American Legion.

    She is survived by husband, Robert Lee Fischer of Mankato; son Donald (Donna) Vanderhoof of Mankato; daughter Kelcey Ann Kilen of Las Vegas; son Robert Vanderhoof (Lisa Folsom) of North Mankato;  grandchildren, Emily (Torrey) Rand, Valerie (Brian) Bentdahl, Daniel Vanderhoof (Callie Mack), Laura Vanderhoof, Spencer Vanderhoof & Trent Krueger; great grandchildren, Nicholas Vanderhoof, Will Nason, Tyler, Kaden & Chase Bentdahl, Brycen & Bennett Vanderhoof; brother Walter Canney of Lincoln, NE; sister, Martha Zara of Palentine, IL & Jane Bade of Rosemount, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

    Ann is preceded in death by her parents, and children, Stacey, Lacey and Ronald Vanderhoof.
