Alexander "Alex" Lenox Reeves


—   Alexander "Alex" Lenox Reeves, age 19 of Mapleton, died Friday, October 25, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident in Shakopee. He was heading home to spend the weekend with his family.

  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Beauford United Methodist Church in Beauford. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m., Tuesday at Beauford United Methodist Church and continue one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.

  Alex was born on June 12, 1994 to Robert and Mary (Cruz) Reeves in Mankato. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Church of Mapleton and graduated in June 2012 from Maple River High School in Mapleton.

  He worked at Sports Headquarters and the Thunder Bar Restaurant before accepting a job at Jenkins Home Service of River Falls, Wisconsin. Alex enjoyed music, tinkering with motorcycles and his family.

  He is survived by his parents, Bob and Mary Reeves of Mapleton; five siblings, Jenny (Mike) Ferguson of Mendota Heights, Beth of St. Louis Park, Nico, Maria, and Sophie Reeves all of Mapleton; adoring nieces, Caroline, Elizabeth, and Charlotte; grandparents, Brad and Holley Reeves and Esther Cruz; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

  Preceded in death by grandpa, Dr. Delfin Cruz.

  Alex will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him and those who benefited from his organ donation.
