Harley Schnobrich

—   Harley Schnobrich, 86, of Searles died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 30, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

  Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday and 7:30-10 AM Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. The St. John's Catholic United will pray the rosary at 6 PM Monday at the funeral home.

  Harley is survived by his wife, Marie "Pat" Schnobrich of Searles; daughters, JoAnne (James) Fischer of Sleepy Eye, Laura (Boyd) Meier of Lake Crystal, Lisa Amedeo of Manor, Texas; sons, Gregg Schnobrich of Owatonna, Brian Schnobrich of Hanska; grandchildren, Jason Fischer, Joel Fischer, Ryan Fischer, Amanda Fischer, Crystal Meier, Chad Carlson, Robert Amedeo, Andrew Amedeo; and by a brother-in-law, Laverne Kuck of New Ulm.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, SueAnne Schnobrich; sister, Marlyn Kuck; and by brothers, Norman and Wallace Schnobrich.

  Harley Roman Schnobrich was born September 14, 1926 in Cottonwood Township, Brown County to William and Martha (Fischer) Schnobrich. He attended Goshen Country School until 5th grade then St. John's Catholic Grade School in Searles. Harley was united in marriage to Marie Lindmeyer on August 28, 1948 at St. Marys Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Cottonwood Township on the Schnobrich Family Farm. They retired in 1998 and moved to Searles. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, gardening, word puzzles and fishing.

  Harley was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles, St. John's Catholic United and the Lost Dog and Fox Hunters Club.

  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
