Dale H. Warnke

— Dale H. Warnke, age 69, of Mankato, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be from Noon until time of services on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

 Dale was born July 19, 1943, to Herbert and Mabel (Fredrickson) Warnke in Mankato.  He was united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Beetch August 29, 1969, in Mankato.  Dale graduated from Mankato High School in 1961 and Mankato State College in 1965.  He served in the National Guards until 1970.  Dale worked as an elementary school teacher.  In his free time he loved to write notes and reminders to his kids, quilt with his wife, watch the Twins, go for walks with his sister, playing cards, wind chimes, hanging out with his family and friends, and most of all he loved the Bible and church.  Dale was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

 He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Warnke; sons, Todd (Jane) Warnke of Mankato and Russell (Stacey) Warnke of North Mankato; daughter, Tami (Steve) Reinboid of Madison Lake; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Kawell of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.

 Dale is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Melvin, and his dog and longtime companion, Sam.
