Meredith Jean Moses

    Meredith Jean Moses, 69, of Minneapolis, formerly of Mapleton, died January 11, 2013 at her home.  

  Meredith was born July 22, 1943, in Mankato to Charles Henry Moses, Sr. and Edna Gertrude Hampel.  She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1961 and then attended Mankato State College and Mankato Business School.  In the late 60's, Meredith moved to the twin cities where she worked in the office at Fort Snelling National Cemetery and then worked 20 years in the data information center of American Express, retiring in 2009.  Meredith struggled with epilepsy throughout her entire life, but handled it very courageously.  She was very well respected and loved by her neighbors and was fiercely independent.  

 She is survived by two brothers, Robert (Darlene) Moses of Mapleton and Mike (Susan) Moses of St. Charles; sister-in-law, Pauline (Bill) Estep of Phoenix, AZ; 13 nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; and good friends, Naomi Eversole of Shallottee, NC, and Marguerite Horne of Minneapolis, MN.  Meredith was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Charles Moses, Jr.

  A Graveside Service is being planned in the spring at Sterling Township Cemetery.
