Marguerite Johnson of St. Peter, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Belle Plaine Lutheran Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato is handling arrangements.
Marguerite was born September 26, 1923 to Charles and Ida (Lancaster) Taylor in Lufkin, TX. She graduated from Lufkin High School and attended Satterwhite Commercial College for one year. On December 12, 1945 she was united in marriage to Harley Johnson in Lufkin. Marguerite worked at ADC Electronics in St. Peter for 27 years. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, reading, bird watching and walking. Marguerite was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Joan (Charles) Barlow of Plymouth, MN and Julie (Fred) Brightman of Otsego, MN; 2 grandchildren, Garrett (Christina) Caldwell and Kelly (Ben Ruesink) Caldwell; 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother, George. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harley; 3 brothers, Robert, Alf and John Taylor; 3 sisters, Lucille, Pauline and Anne Mae.
