Lorraine Catherine Wendt


— Lorraine Catherine Wendt, age 87, formerly of Elysian died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Traditions in Waterville.

 Born on September 13, 1925, in Kilkenny Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of William and Agnes (Kudlik) Kewatt.  She attended school in rural Le Sueur County.   Lorraine married Lawrence Wendt on November 4, 1948, at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilkenny.  Together they raised three daughters.  Lorraine enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and gardening.  She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends.  She was a member of St. Peters' "Bell" Lutheran Church.

 Lorraine is survived by three daughters, Mary Schulz of Morristown; Barbara (Steve) Schlie of Janesville, and Lisa (Danny) Schwichtenberg of Waseca; four grandchildren, Keri (Bill) Eccles of Farmington, Corey Schulz of Waseca, Clinton Schwichtenberg of Waterville, and Tiffany Schwichtenberg of Waseca; and two great grandchildren, Lauren Eccles of Farmington and Savannah Schwichtenberg of Morristown.  She is also survived by three brothers, Roger (Marge) Kewatt of Kilkenny, Milo (Donna) Kewatt of Blooming Prairie, and Pat Kewatt of New Brighton.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son-in-law, Dennis Schulz.

 Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at 5:00 PM at Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville with Rev. Russ Grabau officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian on Monday, April 29, 2013, at 2:00 PM.
