Gary Lee Armstrong

— Gary Lee Armstrong passed  away April 29, 2013. He was born on July 2, 1948, to Garth and Eva Armstrong in Mankato, MN. He grew up on their farm in rural St. Clair where he attended school there and also at Waseca Ag. School. He moved to Brookings, SD, where he was co-owner of B & G Oil Co. for a number of years. Also, he lived near Scotland, SD. He later moved to near Milbank, SD, where he worked for many years driving truck for Bituminous Paving, Inc. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and riding his Harley.

 He was preceded in death by his companion, Rebecca Long of Faribault, MN, their infant daughter Ashley, his parents, two brothers Dale and John Armstrong, two sisters Elaine St. Peter Knuth and Joyce Goettlicher-Stakhouse.

 He is survived by three sisters, Mary Kruse of International Falls, Jean Kollos of Willow River and Eva (Vonnie) Hansen of Mankato. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

 Interment will be at 3pm June 1, at Minneopa Cemetery. A Celebration of his life will follow at the Mankato Moose Lodge.
