Donnas "Don" Preston Goodrich

Donnas "Don" Preston Goodrich, age 84, of Mission, TX, formerly of Minnesota Lake, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Life Care Hospital in McAllen, TX. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danville Twp., Blue Earth Co., MN. Visitation will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Pastor Michael Mathews will officiate and interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth, MN. Please see to leave online condolences. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, is in charge of arrangements.

 Donnas Preston Goodrich was born October 11, 1929, the son of Floyd and Rosetta (Weise) Goodrich in Barber Twp., Faribault Co., MN.  On October 24, 1950, Don was united in marriage to Betty May Giese in Easton, MN. Don was active on the Minnesota Lake Fire Department, the Minnesota Lake City Council and was active council member at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danville Twp.  Don worked at Nordaas American Homes for many years and then he left to be co-owner of North Country Homes.  After the housing recession in the 80's, he worked at Nuebert Millwork, after a few years Nordaas asked Don to return and he worked there until his retirement.  He loved golfing, fishing, sitting around a campfire, spending time with friends and family, and wintering in Texas.

 He is survived by 5 children:  LaDona (Paul) Lange of Mankato, Darell Goodrich of Minnesota Lake, Kevin Goodrich of Blue Earth, Julie Goodrich of Blue Earth, Cynthia Anderson of Blaine; 7 grandchildren:  Jason, Nick, Todd, Brianna, Scott, Cori, Sam; 3 great-grandchildren:  Hannah, Logan, Carter; special friend:  Mary Katz of St. Paul, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty; grandson Shawn Lange; 2 brothers:  Gordon and Edwin, Jr., and a sister Janet.
