         Adelia O. Myers, age 93, of Mankato, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at Pathstone Living in Mankato. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, in Mankato. (Formerly, First Christian Church.)Visitation will be I hour before services at the church. Interment will be at Tivoli Cemetery, rural Mankato.

          Adelia was born December 4, 1919 to Roy and Elma (Fifer) Snook in Newton, IA where she lived until 4th grade when the family moved near Pequot Lakes, MN. The family moved again to Doyon, ND where she attended 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in a country school. Adelia attended 3 years of high school in Southam, ND before moving back to Newton, IA where she finished her high school education. She worked at the FW Woolworth Store for 3 years before her marriage to Roy C. Myers on May 29, 1939. They made their home in Charles City, IA until WW II when they moved to Mpls, where Roy worked in a defense plant. Roy joined the Great Lakes Pipeline, now Williams Brothers and they moved many places during his 27 year tenure there. In 1962 they moved to Mankato. She was a member of First Christian Church.

        Adelia leaves one son, Royal and his wife Sue; grandsons, Ryan and his wife Colleen and Jason. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; daughter, Kay; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
