Mankato resident, Marjorie Mae Hogon, age 94, died peacefully on Saturday,
September 14, 2013 at Pathstone Living in Mankato. A celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato with visitation 1 hour prior to the
service at the church. Private family burial will take place at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Marjorie was born May 22, 1919 in Galesburg, IL to Albin and Emma (Seaberg)
Sandeen. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1937 and then from Brown's Business College in 1942. On May 31, 1950 she was united in marriage to James P. Hogon in Galesburg. Marjorie liked doing puzzles, word search and journaling, but most of all loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marge will be deeply missed by everyone.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James; daughters, Debra Hogon of
Mankato, Diana (Steve) Meyer of Mason City, IA, Becky (Steve) Birr of Buffalo, MN; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Swanson of Galesburg, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
