She attended school in Cleveland until grade 11 then quit school to take care of her Mother who had been severely burned by a kerosene lamp. During this time she assumed all of her mother's household chores & cooking. She worked as a waitress & telephone operator for a year after caring for her Mother. When harvest time came her uncle brought his hired man to help with the grain crop at which time Frances meet the love of her life Leonard Golombeski. They were married at the Cleveland Methodist Church on November 25, 1952, snow that day turned into a blizzard by afternoon so the reception & dance had to be canceled.

Frances & Leonard lived in Cleveland for 4 years, before moving to Morristown in 1956 locating on a farm just south of town. Over the 35 years they were on the farm they raised a daughter & five boys. During this time Frances worked as a wife, housekeeper, farm hand and mother. After the kids were older she worked 5 yrs. at Herter's then 10 years at E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca until she left to care for her husband Leonard who had suffered a heart attack. After a year she got a job at Brown Printing in Waseca working nights for 10 years.

She demonstrated her love to care for people by opening their home to many young adults some spending the summer others for multiple years, hosting after prom breakfasts for several high school classes & their dates and on holidays her table was always full with family & anyone that did not have a place to go.   As her children grew up she babysat for all that needed a Grandma to watch over them.

In early 1990's they moved into Morristown where she continued to care for Leonard. Because he was wheelchair bound family, friends & neighbors would stop in many mornings to have breakfast and/or coffee

and visit; this continued until Leonard's passing in Sept. 1993Frances was a member of the Methodist Women Auxiliary, Morristown American Legion Post # 149; she was active in Senior Citizens and the Senior Noonday Dinners.
