David Eric Noren died May 20, 2013, in Lakewood, Colo. He was 49. Born Feb. 1, 1964, in New Ulm, Mn., David was the son of Kenneth and Marilyn Noren of Mankato, Mn. David graduated from Mankato East High School in 1982 where he was a member of the golf and cross-country teams.
David enjoyed the simple things in life like boating, fishing, golfing and sporting events - a Twins and Vikings fan. Always a conversationalist, David had an infectious laugh, priceless sense of humor and a warm smile. His strong work ethic and kind demeanor was solid and almost uncommon in this age; never missing a day of work or arriving late during his 23 years at BCT Printing.
David is survived by his mother Marilyn Noren of Mankato, Mn. and father Kenneth Noren of Autumn Grace, Mankato, Mn., sister Julie Grant of New Market, Md., sister Vicki Noren Taylor of Vanleer, Tenn. and brother Gary Noren and wife Jean of Mankato, Mn. Also by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and numerous friends, including the Matchinskys of BCT Printing, who he considered his second family. David is survived by his beloved black lab Olivia who was his constant companion.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Margaret and Robert Bell Hetherington of Harrow, England, paternal grandparents Alice and Eric Noren of Milaca, Mn., uncles Col. Wesley Noren of Fredericksburg, Va., Lennart Noren of Anoka, Mn., Alan Hetherington of Mich., Tony and Aunt Helen Chryst of Minneapolis and cousin Virginia Benedict, Lake Canandaigua, 22N.Y.
David will always be in our hearts and will be loved and greatly missed. We wish to invite family and friends to a celebratory memorial of David's life on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Hosanna Lutheran Church at 105 Hosanna Drive, Mankato, MN 56001 between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
