Paul Henry Schwinghammer


— Paul Henry Schwinghammer age 70, of Mankato, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, in Mankato.

  Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary from 4 to 6PM. Burial will be at later time in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

  Paul Schwinghammer was born on August 28, 1942, to Lawrence and Evelyn (Borgerding) Schwinghammer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The family moved to Sacred Heart, MN. Paul graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1960. Paul served his country in the US Navy for four years. He continued his education at Mankato State earning at BS degree in accounting. Paul also received a BS in business administration and master's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota. Paul earned his Doctrine at the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville. Paul worked as an instructor at Minnesota State University - Mankato for many years before retiring.

 Paul enjoyed his students and time at Minnesota State, and also enjoyed the Mankato Golf Club and playing cards.

  Paul is survived by his wife, JoAnne Macke of Auburn, NE; one brother, Thomas (Laurie) Schwinghammer of North Mankato; three sisters, Sandra (Howard) Knutson of Nisswa, MN, Joyce Lampe of Winter Park, FL, Jean (Mike) Turner of Charleston, SC; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Evelyn.
