Raymond A. Fredrickson

—   Raymond A. Fredrickson, age 89, of Le Center, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Mayo Systems in New Prague. Visitation will be January 9, 2013, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  at Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. The funeral service will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

  Raymond was born on March 31, 1923, in Nassau, MN, to Charles and Tina (Spors) Fredrickson. He attended McKinley High School in Le Center. He served in the Navy Air Corpes from 1942 to 1944. Raymond was united in marriage to Rose Marie (McCabe) Fredrickson on February 18, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in Le Center. He was a carpenter and built homes and also was a Rural Route Carrier.

  Raymond was a member of the KC's and the Le Center American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards, water ski instructor, wedding tour guide in the camper, enjoyed fishing at the family cabins at Lake Francis Sunset Terrace and also the cabin at Ottertail. Also was a Canadian fisherman, an avid Monopoly player with his children. He built a car for his children out of a lawnmower motor, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

  He is survived by wife Rose Marie Fredrickson, children; Linda (and Bill) Norris of Le Center, Chrit (and Rick) Hoey of Le Center, Fred (and Patricia) Fredrickson of St. Peter, Teri (and Loren) Hanke of Le Center, Tom (and Mary Kay) Fredrickson of Prior Lake, "Dude" John (and Shelley) Fredrickson of Le Center and Michael Fredrickson of Lakeville 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Ann Fredrickson of NE Minneapolis.

  Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson Caleb Fredrickson, brothers; James Fredrickson, Clifford Fredrickson, and Clarence Fredrickson.

  Military Honors provided by the Le Center area Honor Guard.
