Cassidy Miller highlighted singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Amanda Bauer at No. 3, leading Mankato East/Loyola to a 6-1 Big Nine Conference girls tennis victory over Faribault on Thursday.
East/Loyola (3-1, 2-0 in Big Nine) had four straight-set wins in singles play.
Coley Ries and Ashley Jensen each had 6-0, 6-1 victories.
East/Loyola plays Tuesday at Albert Lea.
Century 5, West 2
Mankato West’s No. 4 singles player Laura Willodson won 7-6, 6-3, but the Scarlets to Rochester Century in a Big Nine Conference match at the West courts.
The Scarlets other second win came from the No. 3 doubles team of Savanna Grams-Haugasag and Mackenzie Keithley, who won 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
West plays Tuesday at Rochester John Marshall.
LSH 4, Jordan 3
Le Sueur-Henderson swept Jordan in doubles competition to grab a Minnesota River Conference win at Le Sueur.
Erin Seaver grabbed LSH’s lone win in singles play, winning 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2.
Mandy Sullivan and Cassie Schultz had the Giants’ most decisive win in doubles, 6-2, 7-5.
St. Peter 7, LCCML 0
No. 4 singles player Katie Hanson won 6-0, 6-0, helping St. Peter sweep Le Center-Cleveland-Montgomery-Lonsdale in a nonconference match.
At No. 3 doubles, Caleigh Carlson and Rachael Thompson also won 6-0, 6-0 for the Saints.
