Single-game tickets for Minnesota State men’s hockey home games go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at the Alltel Center box office.

The Mavericks will open the season Friday with the first of two weekend games against nonconference rival Bemidji State.

“I think there are higher expecations this year,” Alltel Center marketing manager Eric Jones said. “There’s a lot more excitement.”

Minnesota State will also play home series against North Dakota (Oct. 17-18), Colorado College (Nov. 14-15), Denver (Dec. 12-13), Alaska-Anchorage (Jan. 16-17) and Wisconsin (Feb. 27-28) and single games against St. Cloud State (Dec. 5 and March 7), Nebraska-Omaha (Jan. 3) and Minnesota (Jan. 30).

Tickets are also on sale for the Mavericks’ Nov. 1 home game against the Gophers that will take place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul as part of the WCHA Minnesota College Hockey Showcase. That event is a doubleheader that also includes a game between St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth.
