Tiffany Moe’s 3-pointer at the buzzer lifted the fifth-ranked Minnesota State women’s basketball team to an 82-79 victory over Minnesota-Crookston Friday.

Moe, a junior guard scored 17 points to lead the Mavericks to their 20th win of the season.

Alex Andrews and Heather Johnson scored 15 points apiece in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win.

Crookston led by four with 1:51 left in the second half when Jo Noreen ended cut the lead to two points with 1:26 remaining. The Golden Eagles’ Jamie Zelinsky hit a free throw to make it a three-point game, but Mavericks’ guard Andrea Walsh hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 79-79 with 15 seconds to play before Moe hit her game-winning basket.
