Bresnahan comes home

Former Minnesota State baseball standout Jay Bresnahan has been named MSU's Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Services.

Bresnahan played baseball at MSU from 2006-2009 and hit .366 for his four-year career while while appearing in 187 games. This past year he served as the compliance and eligibility coordinator at Georgia State.

“We are pleased to welcome Jay (back)," said Kevin Buisman, the MSU director of athletics. "I am excited about the work he will do in (his) new role.

"As a former Maverick student-athlete, he understands and appreciates the high priority we place on compliance and in providing the highest level of service possible to all of our program participants."

In addition to his year at Georgia State, Bresnahan also served as an athletics compliance intern at the University of Minnesota in 2011-12 and Concordia University in St. Paul in 2009-10.
