Zwaschka's one-hitter propels Loyola past Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Olivia Zwaschka pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts, leading Mankato Loyola past Cleveland 12-0 in five innings of Valley Conference softball Friday.

Kenna Elert led the offense with two dounbles and two RBIs, and Maddie MacCargar was 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.Jessie Van Blarcom was 3 for 4 with two runs, and Rae Dose was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs.

Loyola (9-1, 7-1 in Valley) plays today at the Jackson County Central tournament.

Alden-Conger 6, Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial 3: Allie Wittrock had a two-run double for LCWM in the Valley home loss.

Kenzie Tibbetts and Sammi Sorenson both were 2 for 4 with a double.

LCWM (5-3, 4-3) plays today at the Fairmont tournament.

Nicollet 14, Martin County West 11: Courtney Struss was 5 for 5 with four doubles as Nicollet won the Valley game.

Kaitlyn Bode added four hits for the Raiders.
