NORTH MANKATO — Mankato West split a pair of nonconference softball games Friday, losing to St. Michael-Albertville 2-1 and beating Hill-Murray 2-1

In the first game STMA scored the winning run on throwing error. Lexy Schoper took the loss and Jessica Goerger had two hits. In Game 2, Goerger’s solo homer in the fifth was the game-winner. Missy Elkins picked up the victory.

The split leaves West with a 9-3 record. The Scarlets host the West Invitational at Caswell Park today beginning at 11 a.m.
