ALDEN — Matt Christenson tossed five innings of no-hit ball as Nicollet defeated Alden-Conger 16-2 in a Valley Conference baseball game Thursday.
Christenson struck out four and walked six in the five-inning game.
Offensively, Matt Fischer went 4 for 4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs. Colin Bloemke finished 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs. Tanner Elliott was 2 for 3 with a double and four RBIs for the Raiders (4-4).
MLGHECT 11, St. Clair 9: Dylan Petrowiak was 3 for 4 with a double, three runs scored and two stolen bases for Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman in the Valley Conference win.
The Cyclones’ Joe Bruels and Philip Lonneman each went 2 for 4 with with two RBIs, and Gage Thom also had two hits for St. Clair (1-8).
LCWM 11, Lester Prairie 4: Mason Jones drove in two runs on two hits for visiting Lake Crystal-Wellcome-Memorial in a nonconference win over Lester Prairie.
Shane Nelson drove in two for the Knights. Bryson Yackel and Jordan Nelson had two hits apiece. Kolten Barker allowed five hits and no earned runs in seven innings for the win.
LCWM (13-2) travels to Fairmont today for a doubleheader.
MR 6, BEA 5: Nolan Walters drove in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Maple River the nonconference win over Blue Earth Area.
Lewis Uhrich went 3 for 5 for the Eagles. Mike Lewis picked up the win, allowing no hits in three innings of relief.
Maple River (6-7) hosts Martin County West today. Blue Earth Area falls to 6-10.
